The New Year’s resolution dates back 4000 years to the Babylonians, who made promises to their gods at the start of the New Year to repay debts, and return the borrowed items for god favors. Over time, the tradition evolved and incorporated other cultures, as we have New Year’s resolutions today.
Nowadays, New Year’s resolution is often considered personal New Year plans. As we age, more problems or challenges arise. Some people have financial problems to solve, while others may have health problems to improve. Not all people have the same problems.
Now is the year 2026, we have to solve the 2025 year’s problems. By the end of the year 2026, we will accumulate more problems. That is why we always have New Year’s resolutions. Happy New Year, everyone.
