Not all soccer players can follow their dreams. Gary White was once dreamed of becoming a soccer player, life was not going to his plan. He was born in Southampton, England 1974. He joined the Southampton Football Club when he was a teenager. After he graduated from the football academy, he signed a contract to play for a football club in Australia. He played there for two seasons and had a lot of injuries. At 21 years old, he thought that his soccer qualities wouldn’t make him a better player in the competitive soccer career, so he decided that he had to change his career. He was 24 years old when he got his FIFA coach license. Without experience, he needed an initial break or a luck. He tried his luck by faxing his application to 120s FIFA member countries. He got about 5 calls back, British Virgin Island hired him as a soccer coach, the country had a population around 25,000. Right after he landed in Virgin Island, they took him to the training section where all the players were older than his 24 years old. He improved British Virgin Island FIFA ranking as well as his coaching skill. Later on, he was hired by many countries and clubs. He was hired as head coach for Taipei on 15 September 2017. In AFC Asian Cup 2019, Taipei secured a shock 2-1 win over Barhain the team that not long ago, won 5-0 over Taipei. He not only transferring soccer tactics to players, but he also empowers and inspires players to do the best in team as well as individual players. On March 21 and 26, Taipei will face Kyrgyz in World Cup Qualification 2026, history can repeat? Hope the best for Gary White and Taipei.
