American getting in line culture

People from countries where get in line culture isn’t a social norm may be surprised to see how Americans are organized in public. Getting in line is called first come, first serve, based on the principle that everyone is fair and equal in public. In America, you see people get in line everywhere, from government services to public businesses. You go to the bank; you have to get in line. You go to the restaurant; you have to get in line. There are some exceptions; for example, if I am behind you in the line, I can cut in line with your agreement because others won’t be affected by our switching turns.

Get in line culture is not only a way to show respect for others, but it is also beneficial for the public and business. For example, if you are in line the government public services, you can guess how long you have to wait for your turn. If the waitting time is so long, you just go home and come back in another time. You are not afraid someone will cut your turn and waste your waitting time in line. Why getting in line culture is beneficial for business: when customers get in line in the store, the store is organized, and the store can serve customers quickly without arguing, disturbing cause from cut in line.

If you have a business from countries where getting in line is not the social norm. You should try to apply the getting-in-line rule for your business. I guess people will support your business, and it makes your business stand out from your competitors.
