Pig Coffee Shop in Japan

I have heard of many kinds of coffee shops, but this is the first time that I heard about pig coffee shops in Japan. There are 10 pig coffee shops in Japan, and two more stores will be opened by the end of this year. Customers pay $15 for the first 30 minutes to pet the pigs. The pigs are micropig (the size of a pig like a normal dog). Unlike the pigs on the farm, the pigs in the coffee stores are clean and good smell, but they still snort. When you go into the Pig Coffee stores, you buy drinks in machines and you are required to have reservations to pet the pigs in the cages. Many customers who visited there commented that the pigs have personalities like humans. You can purchase pigs as pets for $1,350, all pigs are ready for sale, and they have been trained to poop or pee. You can buy pig foods in the coffee stores.

Many animal activists in Japan are against the cruelty and exploitation of pigs, they explained that the pigs may not feel the same when we pet them. In my opinion, the pig coffee shops are more friendly with the pigs than pig farms where the pigs are killed to make pig products.
