Hendricks was born in 1907., a native of Iowa. When she was alive, she witnessed the news of the Titanic sinking, WWI, WWII, the Spanish flu, the Covid-19 pandemic, and 20 presidents. She married in 1930 and had five children. She outlived two of them. She was a schoolteacher in a small town. During WWII, she worked at an assembly ammunition factory. Her husband died in 1995.
She shared her happy life secret which was hard work and doing what you love. When celebrated her birthday in 2019, a nursing home administrator said that ” strong will and love of family keep her going”. She is survived by three of her children.
Hendricks’s death now leaves 114 years old Ceccarelli, a resident of California as the oldest living person.
